Outfit Post // Birds and Stripes

I adore the weather this time of year in our part of the country. The mornings are cool (and that makes drinking coffee that much more pleasurable), the afternoons are comfortably warm, and the evenings beg for cardigans and comforters. This past weekend we celebrated our first-born's 7th birthday, and I wore this outfit while presiding over the festivities. How times flies!

Light-weight scarves are my new favorite accessory. Such a nice layering element, and a great way to jazz up a comfortable cotton shirt!

Isn't the ochre color of this shirt lovely? I'm a big fan of yellow, but find that it's super challenging to wear it with my fair skin. This particluar shade seems to work well for me, and I'm pleased as punch. I found the scarf earlier in the Summer season at Gap. I pined away for it until it went on sale, then I snatched it up! The birds are simply too sweet.

Even though the official first day of Fall is still a couple of days away, the chill in the air has me craving hot apple cider. So excited to see the leaves begin to change color! What's the weather like in your part of the world?
