Favorite Finds // Scarves

This year I'm really loving scarves! Now that my youngest is getting a little bit older certain accessories and clothing pieces are easier to wear. What felt like a nuisance before is now a wonderfully fun accent piece that makes layering for Fall that much more enjoyable. These are a few I would love to wear.

1 // Equus Horse Scarf bonbiforest on Etsy $50.10
2 // Polka-dot Scarf J. Crew $65.00
3 // Leaf Print Scarf Gap $29.95
4 // Linen Wrap J. Crew $49.50
5 // Karla Triangle Scarf Anthropologie $58.00
6 // Boro Patchwork Scarf Anthropologie $250.00

Outfit Post // Comfortably Cool Summer Day

If you weren't already aware, Autumn is my favorite. There are things that I like about each of the seasons, but if push came to shove and I had to choose just one, Autumn would be it. The days begin to get cooler, and there is that warm squishy feeling that comes with the approaching holiday season. And you can begin to listen to Christmas music without people thinking you're a bit soft in the head.

Plus during the fall, it isn't as much work to keep up with the yard and garden. As you can see, we've gotten a little behind; before you know it we'll have our very own "secret garden" look. The Black-eyed Susans need thinning, the rose needs to be trellised, and the Euonymis needs pruning... and that's just this section of the garden! Thankfully Sean did the edging again. Whew! This is real life, and it just isn't perfect, let's be honest. Haha!

While Autumn is still two months away, there was a whole day and a half this past weekend that was cool enough to make the excuse to wear a cardigan. That made me one happy lady. I did wear my sandals though. It is still Summer after all.

Of course it wasn't long until we were back to the intense temperatures that we've been experiencing this year. I can't say how much I enjoyed the wee break in the heat. It was beautiful!

Outfit Post // Sparkles and Pops of Color

This time of year it's always a big thrill for me to be able to wear a pair of jeans. There is just something so comfortable and familiar about denim. (Especially when paired with a cardigan- is it Autumn yet?) I really struggle with finding jeans that fit me; this particular pair is a little bit big on me now, but they're comfortable so I keep them around.

Crushing On :: Handmade Bags

I've been majorly crushing on handmade bags lately. Like, big time. After looking through some of my recent favorites it seems that medium to large everyday-function bags have been tops on my list.

Made by Hank tough ruffles bags can be hard to catch in stock, but, boy-oh-boy, how I do love them! Pretty and durable. It doesn't get much better than that. Oh, and did I mention the ruffles? LOVE them!

The leader in functionality, this bag makes me happy. Roomy, but manageable, with lots of pockets.

Love the reinforced corners on this bag! I also find the mix of textiles completely charming.

I'm digging the short strap and removable long strap on this tote. The best part? The price. At $38 this piece is definitely affordable.
