Star Gazing // More New Constellations

This month I spent some time combing through photos of constellations to decide which would be the next installments in the constellation owl line. After some consideration, and a lot of doodling, I chose Capricornus, Gemini, Aries, Scorpius, Taurus, and Cygnus. They are now all available in the shop along with the others, bringing the collection to a total of eleven constellations. 

These owls would make a totally unique gift for a star gazer, or add the perfect finishing touch to a dreamy nursery. Carefully handcrafted from soft, durable felt.

Stardust Hair Pins // Now in Shop

The day has finally come- there are sparkly things in my shop! I first began to dabble in sequins for a project I did for the Mollie Makes brand. The subtle shimmer was so fun, and I decided it was time to jump in.  

Each star is layered with more than 50 sequins, each meticulously placed. I've been wearing my silver stardust hair pin as much as possible. Forget saving it for parties, it has become an everyday hair accessory for me!

New Constellation Owl Line Launch!

Cancer // Big Dipper // Cassiopeia // Leo

When I was a teenager I collected some of those plastic glow-in-the-dark stars, and arranged constellations on my ceiling. It was pretty magical to lie in bed at night in my own private planetarium. Okay, so maybe it was a little cheesy, but I loved it. There was a drop ceiling in my bedroom, and it really brightened the drab tiles up quite a bit. How magical is it to look up at the night sky at all those stars so meticulously arranged, and know that the same God who put them up there thinks I'm just as beautiful? That just blows my mind. I had a lot of fun creating these first four constellations, and I hope to add more soon!

Sneak Peek // Constellation Owl Line.

I'm getting ready to launch a new line on Monday! My love for the night sky is revisited with the Constellation Owl design. It took a little bit of time for the design to work its way out of my brain, but once I got started I became obsessed. The line will debut with Leo, Cancer, Cassiopeia, and, of course, the Big Dipper. Stay tuned for the line release on Monday!
