Little Rose Pocket.

I've been meaning to start stitching fun little designs onto some boring, plain old tee shirts for a while now, but I never seemed to get around to it. Also I didn't have any shirt suitable for altering lying around until recently.

I had some difficulty in deciding what to stitch on that tiny little pocket, but since I have yet to determine how well these shirts will hold up in the wash, I thought I ought to make something small with a minimal amount of work involved for my first attempt.

I settled on cutting three small circles in varying sizes and two tiny leaves to create a flower. Placing the leaves on first and positioning the largest circle on top of them, I simply stitched around the circle to hold everything in place.

Next, I positioned the middle layer on top of the first, and stitched my way around it, followed by the topmost circle. In order to fill up the empty spot in the center, I added a couple more stitches to create a swirl. To finish, I stitched the leaves down.

Viola! A once boring tee shirt, now has a little bit of added interest. Instead of just being cozy, it's now cozy and cute.

The end.
